    As a machine shop supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently and safely. Lead and motivate a team of machinists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Oversee the daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently and safely.


    • Lead and motivate a team of machinists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet specifications and standards.


    Manage machine shop resources including equipment, materials, and manpower effectively.


    Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.


    Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.


    Coordinate maintenance activities for machines and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize uptime.


    • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, inventory levels, and quality control data.


    • Coordinate with other departments such as engineering, procurement, and logistics to coordinate production activities and resolve issues.

    REQUIREMENTS:


    Previous experience in machine shop environment. Job shop preferred. A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.


    • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting various machining equipment such as milling machines, CNC machines, drilling machines.


    • Strong leadership and management abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams.


    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify issues and implement solutions.


    • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.


    • Strong organizational skills and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.


    • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing safety rules and protocols.


    • Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects as required in a manufacturing environment.
