    Description
    *Maintenance Mechanic
    • Maintenance Mechanic
    • Hazleton, PA
    • Food Company
    * *2nd Shift or 3rd Shift** $32-$34 Per Hour

    *Responsibilities:
    • Maintains troubleshoots, and repairs all manufacturing equipment such as wrappers, mixers, motors, conveyors, and refrigeration systems.
    • Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breakers panels
    • Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads
    • Monitors and ensures that the equipment is in excellent condition for operation.
    • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on the equipment.
    • Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
    • Installs power on the new manufacturing equipment.
    • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
    • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
    • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
    • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
    • Installs, modifies, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, SOVs, pressure regulators, and related equipment
    • Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the facility.
    • Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots and PLCs
    • Generate Work Orders, close out WOs, search for available WOs and enter work order confirmations into SA
    • Follow GMP, Safety, and Food Safety policies and procedures
    *Qualifications:
    • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
    • PLC and/or construction electrical (journeyman) certification is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience maintaining manufacturing systems and equipment in an automated plant is preferred.
