Role Overview We are seeking an Entertainment Content Merchandising Strategy Contractor to support the curation, scheduling, presentation and audience segmentation strategy of entertainment content across multiple client platforms. This entry-level contractor will contribute across key content verticals including TV, Kids & Family, Music, Editorial Collections, and Multicultural entertainment.

Key Responsibilities

Editorial Curation & Scheduling - Support weekly and monthly editorial scheduling across all assigned verticals. - Drive content engagement through data-driven editorial strategies

- Maintain and update editorial calendars. - Execute programming updates using internal CMS and scheduling tools. - Review metadata, placements, and schedules. - Collaborate with Editorial, Brand, Product, Partnerships, and Operations partners.

Audience Strategy & Targeting Support - Assist in building editorial audience targeting strategy . - Contribute to targeting plans supporting StreamStore, Gaming, and Multicultural priorities. - Maintain targeting documentation. - Gather insights from dashboards to support recommendations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration - Communicate programming and targeting needs clearly. - Support ad-hoc curation needs. - Keep editorial calendars, trackers, and reference documents updated. - Ensure alignment with broader entertainment priorities.

create and maintain editorial features across various content channels (news, sports, finance, lifestyle, entertainment, TV, etc) and across media platforms (Web, mobile, TV). We need someone who can write snappy, interesting copy, and curate interesting content packages that include a mix of media types. While there are opportunities for long-form writing and blogging, this is not a full-time writing position. This editor will serve as a curator and creator of content, taking the content we already have from feeds and partners, and producing the most appealing packages possible.

This editor will monitor media sources and post breaking news and schedule features to maximize content views. This position requires regular communication with partners and managing the workflow process around obtaining partner content and presenting it on our platforms. The editor will also contribute to the greater conversation about long-term strategy and new features. The editor will need to monitor metrics data and understand our broad audience.

Required Qualifications - 0–2+ years of experience in editorial programming, content curation, digital merchandising, or entertainment/digital media.

- Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple platforms and tools (e.g., Excel, Airtable, Looker, CMS/scheduling systems) with the ability to quickly learn new software.

- Self-motivated and proactive — able to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects forward without constant oversight.

- Active and passionate consumer of TV and movies with a finger on the pulse of current entertainment trends, releases, and cultural conversations.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Interest in entertainment categories including TV, Kids, Music, and Multicultural storytelling.

- Strong communication skills and a curiosity-driven approach to learning.

Preferred Qualifications - Exposure to audience targeting/personalization. - Familiarity with streaming, On Demand, or linear environments. - Ability to turn data into programming recommendations. - Experience or coursework related to multicultural media. - Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Google Suite, Airtable

• Stellar communication skills with attention to detail, spelling, grammar and clarity

• Seven years+ editorial experience

• Can write creative and engaging copy that makes people want more

• Experience with content management systems and analytic tools

• Interest in current events

• Basic Photoshop editing skills

• Must be a creative thinker who is comfortable in group discussions and brainstorming sessions

• Will require some off-hours and holiday shifts

• Bachelor's degree (Journalism, English or Communication majors preferred), or equivalent experience
