Ready for a new challenge in marine engineering? We're seeking a Structural Project Engineer II to join a leading Marine Fab Engineering team in Vancouver, WA.
This role offers the chance to contribute to the design and engineering of aluminum and steel vessels, ensuring they meet industry standards and specifications.
This is an On-site role with occasional ability to work from home. Relocation assistance providedSalary is between $80k - $110k
plus full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, LTD, STD and more
Responsibilities for Structural Engineer:
Design vessel structures which meet requirements set forth in the vessel specification, creating models, drawings, and detailed bills of materials.
Perform all calculations required for structural design.
Support estimators during preliminary stages of project.
Support production personnel during construction phase of project.
Participate in sea trials of completed vessels.
Maintain engineering block library and structural standards documents.
Qualifications for Structural Engineer:
Very strong computer skills and experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, Ship Constructor and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) preferred.
BA in an engineering discipline or equivalent required.
Bachelors in Naval
Architecture/Marine
Engineering preferred.
Three (3) years of marine experience required, experience in vessel design and construction preferred.
Experience and familiarity with CFR, Classing Society rules, ABYC, IEEE, and military contracts is preferred.
