Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of the manufacturing departments, include labor cost, yields, product quality, food/employee safety and internal record keeping and reports.

Models and acts in accordance with Frisch's values.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for production department's hiring, training, scheduling and terminations.
Responsible for employee and production scheduling of approximately 30 hourly department employees.
Responsible for inventory control and quality control.

Responsible for cost control of:
Ingredients and inventory
Buying, ordering, usage and yield variance.
Yield and mix variance.

Labor - productivity.
Quality assurance.
Packaging usage variance.

Responsible for training and enforcement of all regulatory programs, including HACCP,

SSOP's, OSHA, FDA and FSIS.

Responsible for all additional production activities of the production departments.
Other duties may be assigned.

Education and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience in a fast-paced food production environment or 10 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
Strong leadership and communication skills required.
Regulatory compliance experience and management skills required.
Computer skills.
USDA experience preferred.

None

Language Skills:
English required

Physical demands:
Regularly required to talk and listen.
Requires the employee to move freely throughout the Commissary and spend periods of time standing.
Must be able to bend, stoop and lift to 50 pounds.

Work environment:

Will spend most of the time in production or warehouse facility environment, a portion of which serves as an office.

Areas may be wet, dry, hot, refrigerated, or frozen to below zero degrees.
Requires movement throughout the Commissary and occasional travel to general office facility.
