- Create and update extracts and reports, ensuring a high-quality product through development, testing, and change management.
- Generate reports to monitor treaty level experience, ensuring consistency in reporting.
- Provide support to management and Corporate Actuarial staff for data gathering, manipulation, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Document data flows, systems, and controls used by MARC Corporate Actuarial.
- Coordinate with Administration, Business Transformation, and Financial Accounting departments to improve and enhance data between valuation processes and various systems.
- Address technical issues with data and processes, and contribute to recommendations for quarterly processes related to regulations (IFRS, STAT, and SII) and business requirements.
- Develop more efficient processes for supporting IFRS, STAT, and SII for MARC Corporate Actuarial.
- Implement improvements for planning and forecast processes.
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related field
- 1+ years of database and programming experience in Oracle or SQL Server
- Must have expertise in SQL Queries and SQL analytical functions
- Understanding of stored procedures and functions
- Knowledge of Oracle Application Express (APEX) is an asset
- Experience in web service - REST or SOAP is an asset
- Proficient programming ability (ex. Python)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services is an asset
