    Leidos currently has an opening for a
    Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to work in our
    Ladson, SC or Vista, CA facility . As a member of the Leidos
    Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. We have developed a suite of integrated solutions for aviation, ports, borders, and critical infrastructure customers around the world.

    We provide automated threat detection for weapons, narcotics, explosives, contraband, and undeclared goods, as well as nuclear and radioactive materials, by leveraging industry leading screening technologies, AI/ML capabilities and advanced biometric tools.

    We have more than 24,000 products deployed across 120 countries, including best-in-class security checkpoint and inspection systems for people, checked baggage and more.

    The
    Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for delivering all aspects of the Supplier Quality Assurance function. The SQE reports into the Product/Process Quality Manager or designee.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Perform external supplier audits in accordance with ISO 9001 standards, create audit finding reports, determine/initiate appropriate corrective and preventative actions and close out audit findings.
    • Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues to include issuing Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR)
    • Develop and improve processes and procedures to meet and exceed acceptable quality levels for supplier performance standards.
    • Understand requirements and assist with ensuring appropriate flow down into the supply chain. Work closely with functional managers, cross-functional staff, and key subcontractors to ensure quality outputs, aiming to minimize the costs of rework, waste, and maximize customer satisfaction.
    • Support the development and collection of performance metrics.
    • Provide timely metrics and audit outcomes to Quality Management to gauge progress towards quality objectives.
    • Develop weekly and monthly reports that provide measurements with trends over time and highlights performance issues with mitigation strategies.
    • Report quality status and quality issues, with resolution plans, to Quality Management
    • Establish and maintain strong and productive relationships with key stakeholders ensuring that the objectives are understood and incorporated into a framework of continuous improvement.
    • Ensure adherence to all standards, Leidos policies, and best practices.
    • Ability to multi-task, complete tasks without direct supervision, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • Excellent verbal and written skills
    • Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)
    • Ability to support domestic and international travel.
    • Participates in SES Non-conforming Material Process & Material Review Board (MRB) for all SES sites, taking the lead on resolving those issues related to Supplier issues.
    • Other duties as required and or assigned by Quality Manager

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree with 4 years relevant experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer. May consider additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
    • Experience in performing Supplier Audits
    • Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US Citizenship required)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working with the Power Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
    • Formal auditor training
    • Certified Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt

    Pay Range:
    Pay Range $68, $124,550.00
