    Job Summary:
    Our client is looking for a Junior Estimator to join their dynamic team of construction specialists.
    As a Junior Estimator, you will play a critical role in the financial and operational success of our heavy civil projects. You will be responsible for analyzing, preparing, and reviewing bids for complex projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in the market.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyze, prepare, and review bids for heavy civil projects, including earthwork, utilities, mechanical piping, and amenities.
    • Evaluate cost-effectiveness and track actual costs relative to bids as projects develop.
    • Consult with clients, vendors, and internal departments to discuss and strategize on projects.
    • Confer with engineers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on cost estimates.
    • Review plans and specifications for compliance with industry standards.
    • Administer full cycle take-offs and pricing, even with partial plans.
    • Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors using SmartBidNet software.
    • Prepare sub-bid analysis documents and electronic estimates with preliminary cost information.
    • Provide leadership and share knowledge with less experienced estimators.
    • Complete post-bid analysis for lessons learned.

    Qualifications:

    • 1-2 years of field experience, with at least 1 year of estimating on DOT, roads, highways, bridges, concrete paving, walls, and storm drainage.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Experience in all delivery methods (Hard Bid, CSP, CMAR, CMGC, Design Build).
    • Proficiency in estimating software (AutoCAD, Primavera, Timberline, WinEst, etc.).
    • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, Word.
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.
    • Valid driver's license for occasional travel.
    • Strong spatial reasoning and interpretive skills for plans and specifications.
    • Full understanding of Construction Math and technical instructions.
