    We are looking for a full time Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. Medical Diagnostic Imaging is part of Rezolut, a national medical imaging provider with 22 centers across the US. MD Imaging has served the medical imaging needs of patients and physicians in Dutchess County and the surrounding areas for almost 20 years.     Essential Functions of an Ultrasound Technologist
    • Corroborates patient's Clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by licensed practitioner.
    • Prepares patient for procedure, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
    • Accurately selects ultrasound equipment, and associated devices to achieve desired results.
    • Consistently positions patients and equipment to demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
    • Accurately determines ultrasound frequencies and appropriate transducers for the anatomic area of interest.
    • Evaluates images for technical quality, assuring proper identification is recorded.
    • Always verifies informed consent for interventional procedures,i.e.: aspirations, biopsies, thoracenteses and amniocenteses
    • Practices aseptic technique correctly.
    • Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of all patients during procedures
    • Always exercises precautions in patient applications, respecting the biological needs of the patients during procedures.
    • Provides patient education in a manner tailored to the needs and ability of the individual.
    • Maintains accurate records and patient's privacy.
    Required Education and Experience
    • Satisfactory completion of formal ultrasound training school
    • ARDMS certified
    • Able to operate sophisticated computer equipment
    • Strong interest in scientific and technical skill and knowledge
    • Able to interact compassionately and effectively with the sick or injured
    • Able to communicate effectively, perform well independently and follow detailed instructions
    Preferred Education and Experience
    • High proficiency of PC systems, tools, and applications.
