As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in our Intermediate Care Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.

    In collaboration with other members of the management team, you will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serve as a resource person for staff, and model a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Director to provide leadership to our team and play a role in fiscal, human resource, and operational functions
    • Actively participate in department and hospital strategic planning and effectively implement new programs and services
    • Maintain an effective competency and staff development program
    • Work on day-to-day operations such as processing payroll, managing department expenses, participating on hospital committees, processing employee evaluations, managing personnel issues
    • Assist in maintaining a departmental staffing plan that meets the needs of the customer and is responsive to the changing census
    • Ensure an appropriate skill mix and staffing levels in accordance with volume demands
    • Create/foster a positive environment and lead by example and by holding staff accountable for their behaviors and attitudes (compassionate, professional, communicative)

    What You Need to Succeed:

    • Current Kansas Registered Nurse License or valid compact license
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course - American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) verification course
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
    • Bachelor of Science Nursing preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years clinical RN experience preferred
    • Two years progressive supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
