The Select Group is seeking a Business Analyst based in Houston, TX to support the implementation and system administration of a SaaS solution for a top energy provider This individual will lead the implementation and assist with project management practices along with other business analyst functions. Position Title: Business Analyst

Job Duration: 6 -12 months with potential of conversion

Location: Houston, TX (hybrid - 3 days onsite and 2 days remote)

Reason for Need: Our client is in the process of a Cority SaaS system implementation and need additional support. Looking for someone that can serve as a dual project manager & business analyst.

Requirements:

1. Blended Business Analyst/IT Project Management experience - Ideally with SaaS software implementation experience.

2. Experience with use of visualization software and experience in creating complex dashboards and reports in Power BI, Tableau, and Excel. SQL experience as well

3. Experience with interacting with stakeholders of all levels to present technical data in a non technical manner

4. Degree in Project Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science or related field

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with data warehousing technology such as Oracle Databases, SAP or Google BigQuery
• Experience with data analytics and data governance
• Utility Experience

Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Systems, Data and Analytics, Computer Science, Business or related field

Day to day responsibilities:

• Support implementation and system administration of a SaaS (software as a service) solution
• Manage the project lifecycle, including development and implementation of project plans, timelines, and deliverables as well as resolution of project issues or roadblocks
• Collect business requirements from stakeholders and users to analyze and develop customized solutions according to requirements and technology considerations
• Develop plans to ensure the timely completion of work requests with regular communication to stakeholders to ensure solutions meet the business needs and requirements
• Develop and maintain relevant documentation for systems, applications, or reporting including requirements documents, standard work instructions, and data and reporting dictionaries
• Interpret data from a wide variety of data sources for reporting and analysis
• Perform data validation and quality assurance on metric and reporting solutions to ensure accuracy
• Proactively identify, recommend, and implement process improvements for performance gaps
• Interpret and explain information or train end-users and audiences who are not familiar with the subject matter
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the advancement of safety and safety efforts
• Provide training and guidance to less experienced team members
• Demonstrate ability to maintain open, active two-way communication
• Self-motivated and can operate with limited supervision, guidance, and direction
