    Pay Range: $ $100.00 / Salary Target: $150K - $200K + Bonus

    Job Description:
    Our client is looking for a strong Sr
    Process/Chemical Engineer with expertise in chemistry and engineering principles to research and design products, such as nuclear solid/liquid processing systems, including reaction vessels, filtration systems, ion exchange skids, piping and vessel systems
    In this role you will be generating Process Flow Diagrams, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Data Sheets so you must have expertise in the design of documents and plant modifications, including supervision of designers in document development in accordance with approved procedures, processes and design requirements.

    Required Skills:

    • 5+ years experience working in a Process/Chemical Engineering capacity in the nuclear waste space
    • Expert in developing process flow sheets for wet nuclear chemical process
    • Experience employing computational models for process optimization
    • Experience developing concepts and flow sheets for chemical processes
    • Experienced working remotely and independently, highly disciplined
    • Experience with the selection of commercially available equipment, which may include pumps, valves, pipe fittings, in-line components and filtration systems.
    • Experience running experiments and testing to aid in the development of processing systems
    • Working knowledge of water processing equipment to include reverse osmosis and other cross flow technologies
    • Working knowledge and understanding of ion exchange and adsorption systems for water treatment.
    • Experience with mass and energy balances, pressure profiles, pipe, pump and vessel sizing
    Bonus/Soft Skills:
    • Experienced in recommending new equipment, concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify design, reduce costs, correct design flaws or to comply with changes in client requirements, codes or regulations.
    • Experienced with extensive international travel open to it
    • Experience with the installation and testing of site systems and components including FAT and SAT
    • Knowledge of Process Equipment design software and Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of ion exchange and adsorption materials.
    • Knowledge of water treatment to remove trace contaminants and the aqueous chemistry of ions and radio nuclides
    • Professional accreditation - preferred IChemE etc.
    • Bachelor's Degree required in chemical engineering or related technical degree or equivalent - PHD in Chemistry a BIG bonus
