Our office in Sarasota is looking for a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist to join our team. In Sarasota, FCS has a partnership with Sarasota Memorial Hospital and the Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute.Sarasota Memorial Health Care System , a 901-bed regional medical center, is among the largest acute care public health systems in Florida.
With more than 8,500 employees and 750 volunteers, it is Sarasota County's largest employer. A not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1925. The hospital has been awarded Magnet Nursing designation five times - the nation's highest honor for excellence in nursing.SMHCS opened a Radiation Oncology Center with two linear accelerators in August 2020 and a new 110-bed acute-care hospital, SMH-Venice, in November 2021.
The Radiation Oncology Center received ACR accreditation in 2022. The Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute also had its grand opening in November 2021.The new Oncology Tower is a 170,000 sq ft building that includes 56 private suites for hospitalized cancer patients, nine (9) state of the art operating rooms with a dedicated robotic surgery suite and integrative care services offering patient navigation and family/caregiver support.
A new Outpatient Cancer Pavilion is under construction and will open in 2025 with additional radiation oncology, surgical oncology and medical oncology capabilities to facilitate effective multidisciplinary care.
