The ITS Specialist-Senior position involves providing technical support and assessments for designated NYS OMH facilities, particularly focusing on network infrastructure such as circuit bandwidth, Voice Over IP (VoIP) phone system upgrades, and wireless upgrades. The role also entails traveling to various locations to conduct physical site assessments.

This is a C2C, 30-month contract opportunity working onsite in Buffalo, NY. The pay rate is 65.00 per hour.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

1. You will be responsible for tasks related to the setup, moving, and decommissioning of equipment within NYS OMH facilities.
2. You will work with various technologies including Voice Over IP phones, Wireless Access Points (WAPs), and other data communications equipment crucial for supporting the operations of NYS OMH.
3. You will have involvement in all phases of projects, starting from request analysis to site surveys, preparation, troubleshooting, installation, asset management, inventory control, and providing network assistance as needed.
4. You will be proficient in handling various network equipment to ensure smooth operations and effective support for NYS OMH facilities.

Overall, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the technical infrastructure supporting the operations of NYS OMH facilities, ensuring they meet the necessary standards and requirements for efficient service delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING"

• 9 Years Experience working in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.
• 60 Months of Experience installing/troubleshooting PCs and Printers
• 60 Months of Experience installing/troubleshooting servers
• 12 Months of Experience installing/troubleshooting VOIP phones
• 60 Months of Experience installing/troubleshooting data communications equipment
• 60 Months of Experience conducting technical site surveys
• 60 Months of Experience in data cable installation/troubleshooting
• 36 Months of Experience conducting inventory control
• 36 Months of Experience in desktop support
