    The Sterile Process Technician follows a robust series of processes in instrument decontamination, sanitization and sterilization under general supervision ensuring all equipment is free of bioburden.

    Maintaining a high set of standards and procedures the instrument technician maintains, tests and assembles equipment in support of the central sterile processing to support all areas of the hospital.

    Completion of career ladder competencies are at the discretion of the Sterile Processing Supervisor/manager based on internal operations and the below requirements are for hiring purposes only.

    Sterile Processing Instrument Technician
    Prior healthcare related experience, basic knowledge of sterilization processes in a clinical setting preferred.
    Basic computer skills Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Must interact with staff and co-workers across a diverse range of disciplines. Must be able to operate equipment. Sterile Processing Instrument Technician II

    Experience:
    Minimum 4 months experience in Sterile Processing or 400 hours of hands on experience in Sterile Processing
