- 5+ years of experience with designing, deploying, and advanced support of multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks
- Experienced deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network and security equipment and solutions, such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Dell, HPE, or VMware
- Experience documenting complex network and security systems and procedures to implement and troubleshoot such systems
- Experience with Secret classified networks
- Experience operating, deploying, or administering Linux or Unix systems
- Knowledge of routing and switching protocols, such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, or L3VPNs
- Ability to travel 40% of the time
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of hire
- Experience with security, routing, and switching protocols, including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, IPsec, STP, or L3VPNs
- Experience with DoD networks
- Experience with STIGing or security hardening of systems
- Experience operating, deploying, or administering Windows systems and services
- Experience with Commer cial or DoD Cloud networks
- Experience with Software Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN)
- Experience with F5 systems
- Master's degree
- Industry networking certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, VMWare, JN CIA, or JNCP

As a network engineer on our team, you'll work with the Department of Defense to develop a reliable network to support critical missions. You'll collaborate with SMEs, customers and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You'll then share your expertise during the planning of acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you'll put your hardware and software talents to good use. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172, annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
