Job SummaryThe overall purpose of this position is to develop and sustain an Advanced Analytics practice using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) within Global Meetings, Conferences, and Events (MCE) - Business Intelligence.
This is a hands-on position and the incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for the development, design, implementation, and rollout of advanced analytics solutions using AI & ML models, with the goal of gaining an in-depth understanding of IEEE's conferences and conference attendees data and thereby improving insight into IEEE's conference business.
The role will report to the Manager, Business Reporting and Analytics, and will not manage any direct reports. The individual in this position is expected to work independently under minimum direction and supervision.Key Responsibilities
Developing Advanced Analytics solutions and Data Visualization
Designs and builds leading edge predictive models and AI/ML algorithms for initial simulations or prototypes and subsequent ingestion into mainstream software applications
Designs and develops data collection processes to support these models
Builds a structure and process for modeling, predicting, and classifying user behavior and other business metrics
Studies, explores and evaluates new and existing data sources to determine their effectiveness and accuracy for use in AI/ML models.
Provide actionable recommendations to business stakeholdersProject lead for conferences in organization-wide data analytics initiatives.
Evaluate software tools & techniques and make recommendations to business processes.
Collaborate with IT on implementation and security for new tools
They will also assist with identifying areas of business process improvement and recommend process adjustments, technical solutions, or both to efficiently carry out operational objectives.
Engages in cross-functional collaboration to define the requirements for business process solutions.Finally, the incumbent will support the creation and iteration of long-term goals, objectives, and strategies for IEEE's Conference Business
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience degree in Finance/ Computer Science/ Statistics/ related fields or equivalent experience; Advance degree a plus Req
Work Experience
2-4 years of hands-on experience in AI and ML model development. Pref
2-4 years of hands-on experience and expertise in R, and Python. Pref
4-7 years in developing Advanced Analytics solutions, including but not limited to, Data Visualization tools(tableau, Power BI, or other). Pref
2-4 years of expert knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform Pref
2-4 years experience with workflow automation (at a citizen developer level) Pref
4-7 years of hands-on experience in building Data integration, Data mining, and ETL solutions. Pref
4-7 years experience in SQL and other traditional Data Analysis tools. Pref
Skills and Requirements
Proven ability to initiate and drive projects from conception to completion.
Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong experience using data mining/data analysis methods, a variety of data tools, building and implementing AI/ML models, using/creating algorithms, and creating/running simulations using both structured and unstructured data sets
Experience in evaluating software tools & techniques and making recommendations
Proven record of excellent analytical skills and understanding of business needs
Excellent communication and consensus-building abilities
