Job Description

The Blair County Sheriff's Office is in search of three full-time deputies to enforce state and local laws related to public safety and well-being. Key responsibilities include providing law enforcement and security services for various locations such as the courthouse, airport, and patrolling the county to ensure public safety. Other duties involve enforcing laws, apprehending suspects, serving legal documents, and maintaining accurate reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of Pennsylvania Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff Education and Training Program or police academy within 12 months of hire
• Minimum of one year work experience
• At least 21 years old
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• No prior state or federal convictions
