- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of Pennsylvania Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff Education and Training Program or police academy within 12 months of hire
- Minimum of one year work experience
- At least 21 years old
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- No prior state or federal convictions
