    ****Job Description?****

    The OB Tech primarily functions as a surgical technologist, passing instruments and/or assisting in c/sections, hysterectomy procedures and other surgical procedures that may occur on the Labor and Delivery unit. The OB Tech prepares and processes instruments for the Labor and Delivery Unit. The OB tech prepares the surgical suite for each case and is responsible for stocking and ordering of supplies for the surgical area in Labor and Delivery. The OB Tech also stocks and processes instruments for vaginal deliveries and may attend vaginal deliveries to assist the physician or nursing staff. The OB tech may also assist with clerical functions on the unit. Requirements include BLS, OB Tech Experience or completion of a Accredited Surgical Tech program.
