    RN ICU Per Diem Tier I Nights Position Summary

    Deliver direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols within the healthcare organization.

    Responsibilities
    - Implement and oversee patient care plans, monitoring and communicating patient condition.
    - Coordinate with all disciplines for well-managed patient care.
    - Execute physician and nursing orders.
    - Assess and plan patient discharge needs with the healthcare team.
    - Conduct thorough patient assessments including physiological, psychological, and sociocultural factors.

    -Initial assessment
    -Re-assessment
    -Focused assessment based on patient condition, setting, and population

    Identify and address health conditions or needs based on clinical judgment. Set goals collaboratively with the patient and family, documenting them in the care plan for continuity of care.

    -Set daily goals with the patient and family
    -Develop a care plan
    -Plan for patient discharge

    Implement nursing care according to the care plan, ensuring patient safety, medication administration, treatments, education, and documentation.

    -Maintain patient safety
    -Administer medications
    -Provide ordered treatments
    -Educate patients and families
    -Offer nursing care
    -Document care accurately

    Continuously evaluate patient status and the effectiveness of care, adjusting the care plan accordingly. Coordinate care actions with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

    THE RN ICU PER DIEM TIER I NIGHTS CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
    License Required: Current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license, with the ability to become Arizona Licensed within 30 days.
    Certification Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
    Certification Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or other relevant certifications.

    EDUCATION
    Required: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
    Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
