    Spirit Maine's manufacturing facility has been a leading solutions provider of high temperature materials and composites for more than 50 years, serving the Department of Defense and NASA.

    The focus in Maine is on multidirectional reinforced Carbon/Carbon (C/C) and Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) that enable high-temperature components such as: thermal protection systems, re-entry vehicle nose tips as well as rocket motor throats and nozzles.


    Our materials are being used on ground-breaking space initiatives such as the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle and the heat shield for NASA's Mars 2020 mission, important missile programs, airfoils in commercial and military jet engines, and as lightweight armor for U.S.

    military ground vehicles.


    Your role:
    Spirit Maine is seeking an energetic Recruiter to join their Talent Acquisition team.

    The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent.

    Job Responsibilities

    Facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process
    Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job postings and hiring criteria
    Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
    Assists with job posting and advertisement processes
    Screens applications and selects qualified candidates
    Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
    Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders
    Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
    Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
    Attends and participates in college job fairs, and recruiting sessions and events

    What We Need From You

    Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
    3+ years relevant experience
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
    Ability to effectively listen to obtain, learn and understand information
    Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
    Team player and able to build and maintain relationships internal / external
    Proactive, independent and innovative with the ability to take initiative
    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
    Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
