Momar is looking for a Custodian

Momar, Inc., a privately owned specialty chemical manufacturing company based in Atlanta, GA, is currently seeking a Custodian to join our Momar family. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Custodian will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building and its surrounding grounds. This encompasses tasks such as vacuuming floors, sanitizing restrooms, and collecting trash to ensure that the building is both clean and sanitized.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Scrub, sanitize, and restock restroom facilities to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Performs dusting of furniture, walls, and equipment to ensure a tidy and presentable environment.
Utilizes cleaning solutions to clean and disinfect windows, mirrors, and partitions, leaving them streak-free and spotless.
Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals following prescribed instructions, ensuring safe and effective cleaning practices.
Clean and polish fixtures and furniture, enhancing the overall appearance of the facility.
Conduct steam-cleaning of carpets and rugs, removing stains and dirt to maintain a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Maintain open communication with the Maintenance Supervisor, promptly reporting any repair needs or issues related to building cleanliness.
Carry out additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in reading and comprehending written and oral instructions and training materials.
Capable of wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.
Possesses exceptional attention to detail.
Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Education and Experience:

At least 1 year of custodian experience is required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to routinely lift up and/or move 50 lbs.
Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear.
Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions.
