- Create 3-dimensional parts using CNCs and conventional mills and lathes.
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and staff.
- Prepare stock for use on machines.
- Be a contributing team member on all projects.

- Supervise parts and components as they are made to assure quality and accuracy.

- Inspect parts to verify fabrication based on provided instructions.

- Ability to safely use basic power tools and metalworking tools.
- Must be able to stand for long periods while operating machinery.
- Ability to lift approximately 50-60 lb.
- Ability to accurately use tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
- Good hand skills that include general fabrication, sanding, and finishing.
- CAM experience using Mastercam.
- CAD experience using SolidWorks.
- Experience using Thermwood five-axis and Haas CNC machines.

Job DescriptionPriority Designs is an award-winning product development firm with extensive prototyping facilities. Our Prototyping Specialist team is seeking a motivated maker with CNC machining experience and well-rounded prototyping abilities to join our team.
Position Summary
The CNC Technician will work closely with internal teams to create 3-dimensional parts utilizing various CNC machines. These include mills, lathes, and routers. Along with the CNC machines, the use of conventional mills and lathes will also be required. The CNC Technician will utilize Mastercam and SolidWorks to program and create parts. The CNC Technician will work primarily with urethane tooling boards, wood composites, plastics, and occasionally metals.
