VTC Technician

Rapier Solutions, Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Video Teleconferencing Technician to work onsite at a United States Army Reserve Command direct reporting unit that conducts command and staff operations for U.S. Army Reserve commanders and national decision-makers.

Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Technician will be a crucial member of an enterprise team whose primary responsibility is to support the entire Army Reserve. This position's primary focus will be on implementing and supporting the VTC infrastructure and the continuing development of video stream technology. The success in this position will be heavily dependent on cross-collaboration and partnership with the other IT teams to ensure that we deliver well-thought-out and innovative solutions that create a great customer/client experience.

Essential Job Duties

Provide onsite support personnel that will perform general VTC support, audio/video conference bridge scheduling, facilitation of video rooms, troubleshooting of audio/video related issues, integration and configuration of audio/video endpoints and secure / non-secure ISEC components, reporting, and training.

Required Skills, Education & Experience

• In-depth knowledge of Cisco VTC Units
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Teams
• In-depth knowledge of Portable desktop VTC User equipment
• In-depth understanding of HDX Codec
• In-depth knowledge of VTC infrastructure equipment
• Portable desktop VTC User equipment
• Audio / Video Bridging equipment
• ISEC Secure/Non-Secure Video Network Classification Switch
• Meeting Room Manager for Scheduling
• Cisco Telepresence Management Suite (TMS)
• Converged systems (e.g., voice over IP (VOIP), everything over IP (EOIP), VTC equipment
• Customized packaged solutions that enhance the agency's VTC infrastructure
• Knowledge of SIP and H.323 protocol
• General understanding of IP networking
• Experience with room automation systems
• 3+ years of broad experience engineering, implementing, and troubleshooting IT Infrastructure
• Technical knowledge of multi-tiered client/server architectures, LAN, and WAN technologies.
• Excellent documentation skills are required – you will establish and work within a consistent documentation framework.
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
