Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for a Systems Engineer (Lead or Subject Matter Expert) with extensive systems engineering experience to support Government Training Engineering (GTE) and SEIT (Systems Engineering Integration & Test) in Berkeley, MO.
This role will primarily support system level requirements, architecture, and design to advance our USAF Fighter Trainers (including F-15 and F-22).The person filling this role will excel in a challenging, complex, and fast-paced environment.
They will be responsible for the integrity and day-to-day execution of the SEIT backlog. This person will mentor engineers and participate in the proposal development, architecture development, and systems engineering activities. Ultimately this person enables the team to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders while delivering maximum value.Position Responsibilities:
Technical Lead Engineer for the development and management of system level requirements, architecture and designDeveloping and managing requirements using standard Systems Engineering database tools such as DESE, DOORS, and OSEE, following systems engineering processes and best practices.
Development of proposals for future effortsCoordinate efforts between multiple engineering disciplinesOwn the quality, closure, and commitment for the SEIT RAD (requirements, architecture, and design) team workUnderstand, support, and apply agile principles, practices, and processesListen and support teams in problem identification, root cause analysis, and decision makingActively participates in peer reviews of requirements, architecture and designsIdentify and recommend process improvement opportunitiesMentor junior engineers regarding systems engineering processesThis is a hybrid position that allows some telecommuting.
The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
