    Clinical Visitation Worker

    Full-Time, Benefits, Hourly, $23.00/hour depending on Education & Work Experience

    Syracuse Area Services of The Salvation Army is presently conducting a search for a Clinical Visitation Worker. This position is part of our Family Place Program located in Syracuse, NY.

    It is a full-time, hourly position, option to work 4/10 or 5/8's, with access to our comprehensive Benefit Program upon successful completion of our probationary period.

    The Clinical Visitation Worker is responsible for the provision of court-ordered comprehensive visitation services to families having children currently in foster care, and to provide clinical services to identified clients.

    Responsibilities


    • Supervise and assess visits between children in foster care and their natural parents.
    • Maintain comprehensive and detailed documentation of family interactions during visits with children.
    • Provide pre-visit and post-visit counseling, education and clinical intervention targeted to issues raised during the observed visits.
    • Intake and evaluation of prospective clients.
    • Devise and implement individualized service plans, goals and intervention strategies.
    • Maintain all case files, narratives, statistical information.
    • Provide ongoing assessments, treatment recommendations, clinical evaluations and termination reports.
    • Present cases for intra-agency consultation.
    • Participate in staff meetings, conferences, supervision and in-service training sessions.
    • Assigned and maintain a caseload eight (8) to ten (10) cases.
    • Collaborate with outside services and agencies.
    Qualifications


    • Bachelor Degree with Masters Degree nearing completion, and five (5) years clinical experience.
    • MSW or related Masters Degree with clinical experience and licensure preferred.
    • Strong background in family systems preferred.
    • Must have access to private transportation.
    • Must possess a valid NYS driver license that meets The Salvation Army's insurance requirements.
    • Must be able to provide physical assistance and/or intervention with children.
    • Ensure families' needs are met during crises.
