    Metro Program Manager

    The Metro Program Manager leads the growth and marketing of glass recycling programs to businesses in Kansas City, MO, where it all began.

    The Metro Program Manager reports to our Director of Collections and Strategy and will work collaboratively with the Ripple glass team and our community partners to increase participation in and awareness of glass recycling opportunities for businesses.

    Responsibilities:
    • Seek out and secure new host locations for our public drop-off program, craft agreements, and coordinate bin delivery.
    • Seek out and secure new customers, produce customized sales proposals and agreements.
    • Photograph commercial program participation and work with Marketing Manager to maintain brand presence for program through both web and printed materials.
    • Discover and disseminate best practices among participants and distribute educational materials to new commercial customers.
    • Assist in evaluating public drop-off bin performance and recommending adjustments as needed.
    • Provide excellent support for existing commercial customers on an as needed basis.
    • Manage quality of glass received through commercial collections by performing bin audits and training.
    • Build positive relationships with community stakeholders, including bar, restaurant, and multi-family community owners and managers.
    • Work with Logistics Manager to add new accounts to the customer management system.
    • Produce reports and program overviews for internal stakeholders when requested.
    • Craft marketing and outreach campaigns to encourage participation.
    • Discover and disseminate best practices among participants through case studies, e-newsletters and social media.
    • Document processes and customer information as appropriate.
    • Attending events, some weekend work may be required.
    • Handling the orders and shipments of Ripple Glass home bins and other promotional items, including partner store restocks.
    Requirements:
    • Prior experience managing projects, programs, or accounts.
    • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field.
    • Proficient in MS Excel.
    • Ability to function in a constantly evolving, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to a wide range of daily tasks.
    • Exceptional customer service, public speaking, and written communication skills.
    • Enthusiastic attitude about sustainability and your own success
