Job Description

Huntington University has an opening for a Senior Staff Accountant. The senior staff accountant is responsible for accounting and general ledger functions of the University including financial reporting, annual audits, and preparing and managing budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a strong desire to serve others and a commitment to being a faithful steward of university resources
Must be committed to the mission of Huntington University as a comprehensive Christian College dedicated to educating men and women to impact our world for Christ
Demonstrated understanding of Christian higher education preferred
Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant license required
Positive interpersonal skills and a team player
Excellent communications skills
Possess a high level of problem solving skills
Ability to execute multiple projects and tasks concurrently
Proficiency in Word, Excel and account software is needed
Demonstrated administrative and supervisory skills
Commitment to continuous process improvement

Work Schedule: This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position.
