This Opportunity WSP is seeking a Site Civil/ Water Resources Engineer to join our highly collaborative team in Herndon Virginia and learn to create dynamic solutions on a wide range of complex projects This is a hybrid role Our current opening will focus on the water resources and land development practice areas with public and private clients You will work with dedicated professionals that will train and mentor you to a successful career path The bulk of the responsibilities will include stormwater management but also site civil grading to achieve the general construction permits for our power and municipal clients p Your Impact ul li Prepare design calculations under the direct supervision of a licensed professional engineer for stormwater management grading erosion sediment control stream restoration other civil based projects li Produce construction documents plans specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D Microsoft Office ArcGIS HydroCAD software li Assist with procurement process perform construction engineering tasks including site visits monitor conformance to construction documents li Prepare written reports clients agencies jurisdiction Work under supervision licensed Professional Engineer Observe document installation civil-stormwater projects Perform professional water resources engineering work analyses relating stormwater hydraulic structures surface water management accordance applicable laws rules standards li Perform hydrologic hydraulic modeling studies floodplain mapping infrastructure design Studies floodplain evaluate regulated impoundment structures compliance regulations Concept level analysis computations designs models waters master planning Solar BESS Data Center facilities power renewables Participate Health Safety Environment HSE Policies Procedures Standards Guidelines execution all work Design various facilities bioretentions dry detention ponds wet extended retention permeable pavements manufactured treatment devices underground detention Complete field monitoring inspection as-built conditions reporting photo documentation Prepare implement Health Safety Plans HASPs Develop project schedules objectives staff p Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree civil environmental engineering close related discipline years relevant experience Proficiency Microsoft Office Basic understanding AutoCAD Civil 3D Strong written verbal communication skills time self-motivated continue learning Preferred Qualifications Master s degree close related discipline Experience site / civil design Coursework hydrology hydraulics relevant subjects Working knowledge AutoCAD Civil D HydroCAD Bentley Relevant internship experience Knowledge Stormwater Management Drainage Erosion Sediment Control Hydrology Hydraulics Design Watershed Studies Floodplain Delineation etc LI-GD1 h2 b Job summary b h2>
