Sun Display Systems is an aerospace control product manufacturer that is rapidly growing and is in need of additional QC personnel.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all products are in compliance with SDS quality standards
• Perform in process inspections of solder joints and conformal coating on circuit board assemblies
• Perform batch measurements on machined parts from our machine shop. This includes parts machined from aluminum, acrylic plastic, noryl, etc.
• Verify all paperwork with each job is filled out by technicians in sequential order
• Verify all production materials are properly labeled with traceability
• Perform random inspections on in process jobs on the production floor. This includes but is not limited to inspecting paint finishes, verifying the accuracy of part markings, ensuring that workers are keeping FOD (Foreign Object Debris) away from parts in assembly, ensuring paperwork is kept with parts as they move through production, etc.
• Perform lighting inspections on illuminated parts to confirm they meet the customer's requirements
• Conduct and document calibrations of tools and machinery
• Document scrap from the machine shop and production floor
• Work with engineering and production to improve and streamline process flow
• Create root cause analyses and corrective actions for non-conformities
• Perform receiving inspections on delivered materials such as bare circuit boards and circuit board assemblies, machined parts, electronic components, and raw materials

Qualifications:

• Detail oriented and organized
• Familiar with a vernier caliper, micrometer, force gauge
• Familiar with low voltage power supplies, multimeters
• Experience with NVIS lighting or photonics is a plus
• 2 years of QC experience preferred
• Must be willing to work overtime
• Proficiency in microsoft excel and word
• Must be able to read and comprehend an engineering drawing
• Must be able to read and comprehend a mil spec
• Experience with J-STD-001 is a plus
