- Supervises processes, personnel and equipment required to package cannabis flower and ancillary products.
- Maintains and improves operating procedures related to packaging cannabis flower and ancillary products.
- Compiles procedures and data tracking according to the needs of the business.
- Adheres to state regulated compliance regulations, compliance software, and management of staff and schedules.
- Oversees the compliance verification of finished goods and packaging prior to product transfer to the Vault.
- Supervises packaging operations to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Ability to coach staff, address issues and offer constructive feedback when required.
- Represents the department manager in leadership/work groups when the manager cannot attend.
- Works with department leads and manager to maintain consistent material inventories.
- Ensures proper machine cleaning and preventative maintenance.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Orders packaging supplies when the Manager is unavailable.
- Keeps detailed SOPs for all packaging tasks and processes up to date.
- Assists with training new and existing packaging personnel on new SOPs and duties.
- Assists with interviewing, hiring, reviews, and corrective action when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma
- 2 to 3 years' experience managing hourly employees.
- Prior experience in training team members
- Experience with kitchen-related or manufacturing-related management is strongly preferred.
- Proficient computer knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and comfortable learning new software.
- Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.
- Must be able to communicate with subordinates, peers, and leadership effectively and professionally.
- Must perform under high pressure situations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, always evolving, and challenging environment.
- Excellent attention to detail in a highly regulated industry
