    Located at the foot of the Cascade Mountains, Orchid Health's Oakridge Clinic is in the center of one of the best recreational areas in the state and is just 45 minutes east of Eugene. The area is known for year-round sunny weather, having over 500 miles of hiking and biking trails, and being surrounded by waterfalls, hot springs, and numerous other outdoor adventure opportunities.

    Compensation:
    • Starting salary range of $83,400 - $102,000 annually at 0.6 FTE (24 hours/week), depending on experience and skills ($139,000 - $170,000 at 1 FTE)
    • $8,000 sign-on bonus First $4,000 paid after 30 days of employment, second $4,000 paid after 12 months of employment.

    Responsibilities:

    Please note that this role is for a 0.6 FTE, or 24 hours per week, schedule.

    Clinical Competency
    • Provide primary care to patients in a professional and personable manner, leading to trust, engagement, and positive health outcomes for patients.
    • Treat all patients equally and thoroughly, without selectivity, to the best of your ability.
    • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in an often-stressful medical environment.
    • Model actions that demonstrate respect for all individuals, treating patients without judgment or prejudice.
    • Show compassion for and take a Trauma Informed Care approach with all patients, even when difficult.
    • Be available for consultation, assistance with medical/mental health emergencies and referrals by Orchid staff while at the clinic and as mutually agreed upon in terms of after-hours consultation.
    Clinical Responsibility
    • Respond to patient lab, imaging, and referral results daily within 24 hours on days scheduled to be in Clinic.
    • Respond to patient queries and cases daily when scheduled to be in Clinic.
    • Complete patient charts within three days of providing a visit to a patient.
    • Work to meet productivity targets as agreed upon by the Leadership Team.
    • Create and maintain thorough patient records containing orders for prescription drugs, referrals, thorough health history, detailed HPI, and other patient-related information.
    • Maintain Chart Notes comprehensively, with proper management of Problem Lists and Medication Lists, and active involvement in the development and maintenance of Patient Care Plans.
    • Follow Clinical Guidelines for the management of patient health issues in a competent manner.
    • Adhere to policies in managing patients with RX for Controlled Substances
    • Comply with all appropriate requirements for clinic quality assurance and certification including meaningful use documentation.
    • Maintain Licensure and Certification and follow all necessary measures to maintain and demonstrate competency as dictated by your Licensing Board.

    • Assist with the development of clinic policies, protocols and collaborative practice agreements as needed from time to time in collaboration with Clinic Leadership.
    • Maintain a respectful attitude that fosters good relationships with Supervisors, Providers, and other members of the Clinical and Administrative Teams.
    • Employ clear written and verbal communication skills with patients, staff, and Leadership Team

    • Be willing to embrace innovative Clinical Models and cooperate with the growth of other team members, specifically working to help in enhancing Medical Assistant and other Clinical Team Member Roles and Responsibilities

    • Share work responsibilities as agreed upon by the Provider Team to cover one another when indicated/needed.

    Required Education and Experience:
    • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant
    • Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Oregon prior to beginning employment.
    • Must have and be able to maintain current DEA certification, licensure, and board certification.
    Work Environment:
    Team members may be exposed to viruses, disease, and infection from patients and specimens in the working environment. Team members may be required to work for extended periods at a computer.

    Physical Demands:
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching as well as lifting and supporting patients. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.

    Travel:
    Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area may be expected on occasion (CME Events or for activities involving other Orchid Health Clinics).
