Position Summary
Westridge Health Consulting, a proud subcontractor of the Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks an experienced Audiologist to conduct in-person Audiological Evaluations for U.S. Veterans related to hearing conditions—including hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance disorders. This role makes a meaningful contribution to the disability claims process by delivering high-quality, objective assessments and thorough documentation. This role involves comprehensive auditory evaluations and medical opinions, with no treatment responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct audiology assessments for veterans (minimum 30 minutes per exam)
- Diagnose and manage hearing, balance, and tinnitus disorders
- Utilize advanced electro-acoustic instrumentation (e.g., pure tone/speech audiometers, tympanometry)
- Document patient history, findings, and progress with precision
- Submit audiometric data in DBQ format within 24 hours of examination
- Provide thorough medical record reviews and rationale-based opinions
- Maintain scheduling flexibility to meet referral volume demands
- Ensure full compliance with VA, DOI and VBA credentialing standards
Qualifications
- PHD in Audiology from an ACAE, CAA, or ASHA-accredited institution
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
- Active BLS certification (AHA, ARC, ASHI) or willingness to obtain
- Full and active Audiology license in the U.S.
Preferred Skills & Credentials
- Proficiency in EMR systems and digital documentation
- Experience completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) for veterans
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA
- Be able to conduct the following exam procedures: Basic Otoscopy, Tympanometry, Acoustic Reflex Testing, Speech Audiometry, Pure Tone Audiometry, Air and Bone Conduction, Stenger Testing, and Cerumen Removal
