Description
Our company currently has a great opportunity for a seasoned Technical DesignerCandidate must have strong knowledge and understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading. Must have expertise in cut and sew knits, wovens, & full fashion sweaters
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work with design team to establish and maintain fit & construction standards
Must have strong knowledge of knit and woven garment construction, full fashion sweaters, along with patternmaking knowledge and sewing techniques
Prepare fit samples for the live fit session and scheduling with model agency
Ensure accurate notes and pictures are taken in the fit session
Create accurate and clear fit comments for factories after fittings
Create techpacks including measurements, grading, and construction details
Track and prioritize proto, PP, and TOP samples throughout each season to ensure deliveries, optimum fit & quality are maintained, while minimizing fit rounds
Communicate daily with overseas factories. Includes relaying detailed explanations on measurement, construction, fit and pattern adjustments in a timely manner to ensure fit process stays in line with production timelines
Strong knowledge of measuring sample points to ensure submitted samples are within tolerance of required specifications
Detail oriented and organized with strong written and verbal communication skills is essential for communication with internal and external teams and partners
Candidate should be a team player with a growth mindset; capable of multi-tasking, have strong organizational and time management skills
bility to handle many SKU's at once with shifting priorities while meeting all deadlines in a fast paced environment
Excellent Excel program skills and ability to quickly learn new computer programs. PLM experience is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years experience in dresses
Salary commensurate with experience:
$55-95K
