    Conservation Legacyishiring for an OperationsSpecialist to work in our eastern region.

    This vital role willfocus onsupporting local programs across the region in developing staff technical skills, mentorship strategies, and consulting in strategic capacity needs.

    The Eastern Region Operations Specialist willensure programs are equipped to execute high quality and safe project work.

    The individual in this rolemay spend approximately 50% or more of their time in the field and traveling to Conservation Legacys unique regional program locations.

    We are a leading national conservation service organization dedicated to supporting local and regional service programs, raising the bar on impact, diversity, equity, inclusion, and innovation in community-based conservation efforts.

    We operate impactful, high-quality local conservation programs which engage and empower participants to complete priority projects for local communities and land management partners, enriching the lives of all who live in those communities.

    Join us in making an impact byconsulting with director-level staff for existing and new programming, while staying up-to-date on industry standards in conservation, trail construction, forestry, restoration, and other land stewardship work You will work closely with a western region counterpart and national operations team to ensure these standards are met.

    The position will be based in our eastern region and the candidate should reside near one of Conservation Legacy's eastern program offices in Chattanooga, TN, Beckley, WV.

    Harrisonburg, VA, or Raleigh, NC.


    Qualificationsfor this exciting position include:
    Minimum of 5 years of experience in conservation corps, land management, or similar applicable industry.
    Minimum of 5 years of practical experience training and teaching field skills.
    Experience with chainsaw and crosscut operations and training.
    Experience developing training framework at an organizational level.

    Must hold an official certification in saw operations at the C faller-level or have had it in the past and is able to recertify upon hire.
