- Design polyurethane formulations to meet performance needs
- Test new materials to enhance existing products
- Utilize expertise in polyurethane chemistry for troubleshooting
- Research new materials and test properties
- Develop specialized test methods
- Prepare lab reports and documentation
- Provide technical support for various departments
- Create customer samples
- Train Entry Level Chemists and support R&D and QC teams
- Conduct analytical testing and document results
- Report on product development to R&D manager
- Perform assigned duties
- MUST HAVES:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry
- Minimum 2 years experience in a chemistry lab
- Effective communication skills in various formats

This is a daytime opportunity from Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm.
This role involves two primary responsibilities. 80% of the day is dedicated to daily experiments, while the remaining 20% focuses on long-term projects lasting from one week to one month.
A typical day starts with coordinating daily tests and planning for long-term projects. The lead chemist assigns specific tests with established formulas, which the chemist prepares. Working closely with the lead chemist, this individual evaluates the formulas and advises on next steps based on client requirements. Changes may include variations in Epoxys, Polymers, Plastics, or new standards for automotive industry applications.
