    RN - Stepdown

    Job Details:


    • Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotation

    • Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13-week contract

    • Patient ratio of 4-5 patients during night shift

    • Must have 1+ year of strong cardiac/heart care experience

    • ICU nurses accepted if comfortable with patient ratios of 1:4-5

    • Minimum 2+ years medical surgical experience required

    • At least one travel contract completed preferred

    • Short term acute care hospital experience required

    • Current Epic charting experience within 12 months required

    • Must be comfortable with cardiac rhythm interpretation

    • Familiar with routine cardiac care including open heart surgical, arrhythmia, chest pain, cardiac procedural patients, heart failure, and acute MIs

    • Care for variety of patients including sepsis, respiratory failure, and stroke patients

    • Required certifications: Wisconsin or Compact RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS

    • Float requirements to Oconomowoc Memorial and/or Mukwonago facilities as needed

    • No on-call or call back requirements

    • Any color scrubs permitted

    • Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred

    Facility:

    This healthcare organization operates a 31-bed intermediate care unit that provides specialized cardiac care along with general medical services. The facility treats a diverse patient population including heart failure, heart surgery and thoracic surgeries, pacemaker placements, ablations, TAVRs, cardiac catheterizations, myocardial infarctions, hypertension urgency, sepsis, respiratory failure, and stroke patients. The organization maintains high standards for cardiac care and utilizes Epic electronic health records system.
