- Degree: Associates Degree of Nursing.
- Education: Possess an Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited agency such as the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)., a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or a Graduate Diploma in Nursing
- Experience: Possess a minimum of one year of experience within the last three years as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.
- Licensure: Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse.
- Must be able to commute to and from NMCSD and NHCP if required.
- Possess and maintain certification in neonatal resuscitation provider (NRP).
- Minimum of "Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring" Course within the last two years.
- Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.
- Perform physical exam and health histories.
- Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
- Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
- May provide clinical direction or assist in the instruction of care provide by other healthcare professionals within scope of clinical privileges or responsibilities, however, may not serve as Charge Nurse on a unit/ward.
- Provide clinical direction for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.

*IMMEDIATE OPENING *for Full-time and Part-Time Registered Nurses (L&D) to support Naval Hospital, San Diego, CAServices shall be provided Sunday through Saturday, including federal holidays, between the hours of 0000 to 2359 hours. Shifts will normally be scheduled for a 13-hour period, to include an uncompensated 60-minute lunch break.
HCW may be required to provide services in excess of 72 hours per pay period, but no more than 80 hours in a pay period.
Services may be required in either the Perinatal Special Care Unit, Labor & Delivery, or Mother Infant Unit.*Minimum Qualifications:
