- Practice medicine in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a 50/50 split.
- Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm in our outpatient clinic at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton.
- Provide clinical care to an average of 14-15 patients per day, supported by a skilled team of PSR, MA, and RN staff.
- Collaborate with our inpatient team at ThedaCare Regional Medical Centers-Appleton & Neenah, working Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with backup support from APC on Mondays and Fridays.
- Participate in telehealth services for Critical Access Hospitals.
- No call responsibilities during weekdays, weekends, or holidays.
- Manage a diverse patient population, including those with HIV, hepatitis C, hepatitis B, STDs, surgical and community-acquired infections, as well as orthopedic and neurosurgery patients.
- Leverage a referral base of over 200 primary care physicians committed to partnering with our Infectious Disease practice for inpatient and outpatient consultations.
- Enjoy excellent support from Advanced Practice Clinicians, infusion nursing staff, and wound care nursing staff within the department and organization.
- Maintain close working relationships with ThedaCare Home Care services and our hospital partners through pharmacy & therapeutics, infection control, and quality initiatives.
- Work closely with a full-time hospitalist program that supports inpatient care, while our Infectious Disease service remains a consulting service only.
