Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead Developer with experience in Angular 9+, developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our Leads have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Location: Washington, DC, USA (Hybrid, 3 days per week at office).

Responsibilities:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Developer with a strong background in Angular technologies and Investment Banking & Brokerage domain knowledge.
• This role within our MNC will focus on leading project development efforts, ensuring high-quality code, and aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
• With a requirement of 8 to 12 years of experience, the ideal candidate will drive innovation and efficiency in our financial services solutions.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. - Mentor junior developers, reviewing their code and providing constructive feedback.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends in Angular development and investment banking operations. - Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify and execute on opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with the project timelines and deliverables.
• Implement security and data protection measures. - Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. - Document all phases of the development process.
• Contribute to the strategic planning of technology solutions within the investment banking sector.

Qualifications:

• 8 - 12 years of total experience & 6years of relevant experience.
• Primary skills: Angular 9+, HTML5, CSS 3, Bootstrap/Material, JavaScript, DOM, TypeScript, JS / TS (Advanced), Micro Front End, Common Component Development/Design System, Angular Elements, Reactive Forms, RxJS, App Security, Performance optimization, etc.
• Additional skills: SCSS, RWD, Rest API, Micro Front End, Common Component Development/Design System, External Plugins – Charts & Data Grids, Exporting to Excel/PDF, Rich Text Editors, etc.
• Good to know Azure, DevOps, micro-services-based architectures, containers, lambda etc.
• Good to have Integration knowledge in .NET or Java/J2EE.

Salary and compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $110K – $145K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
