    **The role youll contribute:**

    The Senior Benefits Analyst assists the Manager of Health & Welfare Benefits by providing support and guidance to the organization regarding complex benefit practices and strategies. As needed the Senior Benefits Analyst performs assessments or audits on benefit practices to ensure compliance with plan provisions and state and federal regulations and facilitate the use of best practices. Applies analytical and creative abilities to formulate solutions to routine and complex benefit issues; researching and providing suggestions for resolution or improvement. Leads out, or assists, as requested with routine and complex projects such as requests for proposals, implementation of new benefits and the annual enrollment process.

    The Senior Benefit Analyst will be assigned several benefits as part of a portfolio for which they are responsible. The Senior Benefits Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for their assigned benefits. They are responsible for understanding, maintaining and improving all the processes associated with the benefit including implementation details, data interfaces with vendors, monitoring performance of the benefit, ensuring regulatory and vendor compliance, and preparing information to facilitate communication and education for the eligible employee population. The Senior Benefit Analyst will also be assigned specific benefit related projects that will consist of one-time, annually repeating, or ongoing/permanent projects. The assigned benefit portfolio and projects will recognize the advanced skill and experience of the Senior Benefits Analyst but will also provide opportunity for continued growth and development.

    + Upon selection of a new vendor, coordinate the implementation process with the vendor and key internal parties to ensure a smooth and accurate implementation.

    + Work with HRIS, HRIT and others to ensure eligibility information is provided to vendors in an accurate and timely manner

    + Work with HRIS and HRIT regarding the assigned benefits portfolio to implement annual changes and update rates or other administrative processes in an accurate and timely manner

    + Keep key constituents (HRIS, HRSS, HRBPs) aware of any changes in rates, eligibility, benefit specifications, processes and timelines for benefit related changes

    + For the assigned benefit portfolio, periodically audits and/or reviews enrollment data from the HR systems and vendor billing to ensure that accurate enrollment is being maintained.

    + As needed, produce reports and reconcile billing information, resolving billing issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.

    + Review processes and procedures recommending and implementing changes as needed to keep the organization compliant and operating effectively

    + Research current benefit trends and regulatory requirements and recommend programs/changes to the Manager of Employee Benefits.

    + Compiles, analyzes and reports relevant benefit data including enrollment, employee demographics, financial data, industry best practices and benchmark surveys use in Benefits COE strategic planning and evaluation.

    + Manages the development of benefit communication material in coordination with internal and external resources to support promotion of the value of benefits.

    + Maintain/update benefit communication materials for the assigned portfolio of benefits.

    + Maintain/update the Annual Enrollment materials and sites for the assigned portfolio of benefits.

    + Maintain/update content as needed for the Total Reward Statements for the assigned portfolio of benefits.

    + Maintain/update the ALEX Benefit Advisor, and similar tools/resources, for the assigned portfolio of benefits.

    + Help facilities and HRSS with the maintenance of their intranet-based benefits information, providing updates as needed for the assigned portfolio of benefits.

    + Address vendor management issues by holding regular meetings with account representatives.

    + Resolve issues that come up from either the client or vendor.

    + Assist HRSS in resolving issues that are hindering a positive employee experience and/or effective administration of the benefit.

    + Coordinate the process of marketing our benefits on a regular basis, ensuring that our consultant has the information needed for preparation and review of RFPs, and facilitate implementation of new benefits/vendors as needed.

    + Facilitate the successful completion of special projects, like a Benefits Eligibility Audit, research on a potential benefit, and other similar projects as needed

    + Leads the assigned projects and recurring tasks in alignment with the COE role and responsibilities.

    Qualifications

    **The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed** **:**

    **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** **:**

    + Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, Employee Benefits or a related field

    + Four years of experience working within the employee benefits field with at least 2 of those years spent working in an environment where COE related skills have been utilized and developed.

    + Has an in depth knowledge of benefit laws and rules

    **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:**

    + A Masters degree in a related field is preferred.

    **LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:**

    + Certified Benefits Professional (CBP)

    + Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS)
