**About the Role: Inventory Planner**
As Inventory Planner at Fair Harbor, you will be responsible for supporting the creation and execution of sales and inventory financial plans at a department, style and SKU level. You will work closely with your manager to analyze and identify sales opportunities/risks and provide risk-mitigating recommendations for both the short- and long-term.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work cross functionally with several teams, including marketing, production, finance, and product-development.
**REPORTS TO:** Director, Planning & Merchandising
**LOCATION:** New York, NY
**Responsibilities**
Provide daily and weekly updates on business as it relates to last forecast & plan, trend analysis, and product selling that is exceeding/falling short of expectation
Provide ad hoc analyses, as assigned, to give team diagnosis of the business and anticipate suggested course of action
Analyze sales and be able to identify missed sales and growth drivers
Assist with communication to cross functional partners regarding potential risk or opportunities and suggest changes to course of action for both current and future selling periods
Prepare sales, margin and inventory forecast and assist manager in monthly open-to-buy (OTB) forecast meetings for current year: provide sales trend opportunity for future periods, validate stock-to-sales relationships, maximize receipt flow to improve turn
Create style level weekly unit sales plans in season to inform total department sales expectation by week/month/quarter and identify styles contributing to a +/- to forecast
Communicate support for style level buys as it relates to current trend, historical findings or related categories around sizing, SKU productivity, and receipt flow
**Requirements**
Based in the New York City metro area
2-4 Years Experience in a Planning capacity
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving
Detail-oriented, highly motivated and have a curiosity for product
Self-starter with the ability to see projects through from start to finish and manage multiple projects simultaneously
