Description

Qualifications:

Training: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree.

Substitution: Additional experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.

Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in technical and analytical work. Experience in Vocational Rehabilitation Services preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Research Specialist must have (4) years of experience in working with Vocational Rehabilitation Services Programs

2. Research Specialist must meet the requirements indicated in the Research Specialist 3 position and evidence must be submitted prior to award.

Mandatory Requirements and Deliverables

1. Research Specialist must be able to analyze and coordinate data collection from WVDE, NCES and CSNA. Use collected data to calculate Pre-ETS set-aside, provide review and analyzes to assist WVDRS with program assessments

2. Research Specialist will provide assistance with preparing the WIOA mandated Unified State Plan and submission of plan to the federal Department of Education and Labor.

3. Research Specialist must be able to provide data synthesis from a variety of internal and external sources to assist with development of WIOA plan.

4. Research Specialist will complete Memorandums of Understanding and Infrastructure Funding Agreements between agency and other state agencies.

5. Research Specialist must be able to calculate cost reimbursement for Social Security as it relates to Vocational Rehabilitation Services. The Research Specialist will be responsible for reviewing status progression data/reports in order to provide feedback regarding Social Security Administration Cost Reimbursement to WVDRS
