    Job Summary:

    Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager, the Material Handler oversees the receipt, storage, distribution and count of inventory to ensure the most up to date information is available. The Material Handler will place purchase orders under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager or Senior member of the Supply Chain Team, and assists in the analysis of stock reports. This professional will utilize their attention to detail skills to match incoming inventory against packing slips, purchase orders utilizing our ERP system, and file any hard copies of paperwork to maintain accurate documentation.     Duties:
  • Manages and places Purchase Orders for Supplies
  • Physically receives packages into the facility and into the ERP System
  • Utilizes ERP systems and spreadsheets to analyze stock reports
  • Delivers supplies to other warehouse locations as needed (Dearborn, Flint, Warren)
  • Checks products part numbers against associated packing lists and compares packing lists to purchase orders to ensure all supplies in each delivery are accurate
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory counts including physical and cycle counts
  • Audits stock to remove expired products from all stocking areas
  • Assists with record keeping including, but not limited to, preventative maintenance on capital equipment
  • Helps establish and maintain full inventory of capital equipment and the storage of said equipment
  • Performs inventory control in all warehouse locations throughout Insight locations as directed
  • Utilize scanners for inventory transactions warehouse locations
  • Scanning and filing packing slips received from Vendors in shipments
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with little to no supervision
  • 3 or more years of previous inventory management experience is preferred
  • Able to provide eligibility for employment for any . employer
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associates Degree preferred
  • Previous experience within a healthcare environment preferred
  • Willing to travel from the various warehouse locations; travel reimbursement available
  • Willing to help team members out in a proactive manner as needed
  • Ability to multitask and move between responsibilities in fluid manner
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
  • Demonstrated excellent skills in verbal and written English communications for effective documentation standards
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own growth and advancements.
