    Process Engineer

    Direct Hire

    Location: Brick, NJ

    Pay: $85K - $120K annually, based on experience

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical, Biochemical, Equipment, or Mechanical Engineering
    • Possess 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in devising processes and equipment tailored for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
    • Familiarity with aseptic filling

    Responsibilities

    • Define and outline cGMP process equipment, piping, and controls pertinent to the production of products geared towards enhancing process capability and production output while upholding and enhancing quality standards.
    • Support in the scrutiny of design, on-site validation, and installation of equipment.
    • Diagnose problems with filling and packaging equipment and propose remedies to avert operational downtime.
    • Innovate and refine existing processes and techniques for managing and resolving technical issues in manufacturing.
    • Ensure continuous equipment operation by swiftly and effectively resolving production equipment issues to fulfill objectives for filling and packaging lines.
    • Address filling and packaging line challenges related to equipment, personnel, materials, and quality. Spearhead the implementation of corrective measures to rectify these issues and prevent downtime.
    • Serve as the resident technical authority for the designated area in either filling or packaging.
    • Uphold dependable and secure manufacturing systems while enhancing production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
    • Display flexibility to work during non-standard shifts to support a 24/7 operation.
    • Coordinate and execute engineering trials, subsequently compiling reports and delivering presentations on the findings.
    • Produce documentation to support projects, including project scopes, conceptual design presentations, capital requests, specifications, piping and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, schedules, requests for quotations, project expenditures, project procedures, correspondences, start-up procedures, and cost estimates.
    • Support Quality Assurance (QA) and Validation departments by drafting design documents and assisting in protocol creation and implementation.
    • Aid in investigations of process equipment, utility systems, control anomalies, and safety incidents.
    • Implement corrective/preventive actions for existing equipment and manufacturing processes.
    • Draft change control documentation.
    • Develop and revise procedures for the proper operation of both new and existing equipment.
    • Propose and execute initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency for production lines by leveraging Lean principles.
    • Evaluate safety requirements and ensure their seamless integration into the process.
    • Collaborate with Senior Management in researching and procuring new manufacturing technology and equipment.
    • Ensure project timelines are met and adhere to financial budgets.
    • Assist in the training of operations and maintenance personnel as necessary.
    • Potentially oversee mechanical, electrical, and automation contractors, as well as Maintenance Mechanics, Contract Engineers, and Construction Contractors.
    • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as delegated.
