    Description

    Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer for the food & beverage industry. With over two decades in the industry, our client has an impressive portfolio and customer base. They are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team.

    As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuous operation and optimal performance of our client's packaging production equipment. You will be responsible for conducting maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs to keep the machinery running efficiently. This position involves hands-on work with an emphasis on electrical and mechanical expertise. Your dedication to maintaining a high level of operational reliability will contribute directly to our client's ability to meet production targets and deliver top-quality packaging products to their customers.

    *Please note that this is a night shift position.

    Focus:

    • Execute regular preventative maintenance tasks on packaging machinery and equipment.
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
    • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance strategies.
    • Perform routine inspections to identify potential equipment issues and address them proactively.
    • Utilize your expertise in Allen Bradley systems to support the operation and maintenance of production equipment.
    • Participate in training sessions during the initial 6-week period on day shifts to become fully acclimated to the role and company procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
    • Comply with safety regulations and protocols to ensure a secure work environment.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to report progress and challenges.

    Skill Set:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance roles, preferably within plastics and packaging industries.
    • Strong electrical and mechanical background with the ability to work hands-on and turn wrenches when needed.
    • Proficiency with Allen Bradley type systems and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) working knowledge.
    • Proven problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
    • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
