- Lead hospitalist teams at two flagship hospitals serving Albany, Troy, and surrounding communities Position split: 80% administrative leadership / 20% clinical (one hospitalist shift per week) Guide quality, safety, and performance initiatives across inpatient services Shape service line strategy, staffing models, and clinical best practices Serve on key governance committees and act as a central liaison between inpatient and ambulatory operations Oversee recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and performance improvement Collaborate closely with executive leadership to advance organizational goals Contribute clinically through weekly shifts and participation in codes, consultations, and patient care Compensation & Benefits Guaranteed base salary: $370,000 Comprehensive benefits package 403(b) retirement plan with employer match 457(d) retirement plan Paid malpractice insurance Relocation allowance available Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility Candidate Requirements Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine-Minimum 5 years of hospitalist experience Leadership experience strongly preferred Demonstrated success in team management and quality improvement Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to mission driven, patient centered careThis is an exceptional opportunity to lead a large, respected Hospital Medicine program and make a profound impact on patient care across two major hospitals in upstate New York.
