    Description

    GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

    A BIM/VDC Coordinator position is currently open at Garney Construction located in Winter Garden, FL. This role requires previous estimating experience, particularly in the water, wastewater, or industrial sectors. Experience with at-risk self-performing contracts is also a plus.

    YOUR ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conducting contingency and risk analysis for estimates and pre-reviews.
    • Examining and organizing estimate data affecting labor, materials, equipment needs, site location, and other variables.
    • Sharing estimate bid details with field operations during pre-construction gatherings.
    • Building and nurturing business relationships with owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and small businesses to expand bid opportunities.
    • Capable of providing rough estimates with limited information.

    REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

    • Preferably a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or relevant field experience.
    • Skilled in interpreting construction blueprints and understanding project specifications.
    • Ability to verify take-off quantities for estimate accuracy and review project drawings, specifications, and site conditions.
