How you'll contribute to our mission

As a Line Cook, you play a crucial role in our goal of improving people's lives through outstanding food. You will have the opportunity to enhance your culinary abilities in our Wegmans kitchens, learning and preparing menu items used in various kitchen sections. Each day presents new challenges in our dynamic kitchens, giving you the chance to brighten our customers' day by assisting in the preparation of ingredients for their convenient meal solutions. Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by efficiently handling tasks such as ingredient preparation and meal creation
• Follow recipes, knife skills, and cooking techniques diligently to maintain consistent high-quality meals
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring timely meal preparation at the highest standard
• Understand and maintain the quality of products, ensuring the use of core recipes and techniques for consistent outcomes
• Support ordering and inventory processes to manage stock levels effectively

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one year working in a production kitchen
• Experience in food preparation

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts
• Experience as a Prep Cook, Pantry, or Apprentice
• Previous experience as a Line Cook
