    VulcanForms Inc. is looking for a CNC Mill Machinist at our Newburyport, MA location.

    Job Purpose

    As a CNC Mill Machinist at VulcanForms Inc. in Newburyport, MA, your role involves operating and setting up CNC Mill Machines to support manufacturing. Our facility is state-of-the-art and environmentally controlled, dedicated to producing top-notch parts for our clients in industries like aerospace, military, defense, satellite, and medical devices. It's important to note that this role involves working shifts.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Skilled in operating a CNC Mill on controls such as FANUC, HAAS, HEIDENHAIN, OKUMA, MAZATROL, and YASNAC.
    • Proficiency in using a pre-setter offline for tool offsets.
    • Experience with quick-change tooling.
    • Operating, setting up, and editing programs on department machines.
    • Conducting periodic part inspections during production to ensure consistent quality.
    • Continuous monitoring of equipment and tools for any disruptions.
    • Following instructions on the Router, Process sheet, Drawings, and Programs.
    • Training team members on machining aspects.
    • Assisting team members in issue identification and troubleshooting.
    • Collaborating with Quality, Engineering, and team members.
    • Keeping work area and equipment clean and following safety regulations.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Vertical and Horizontal CNC Milling Center.
    • Ability to interpret Blueprints and understand GD&T.
    • Team player with a willingness to work with supervisors on process enhancements.
    • Compliance with company health & safety policies.
    • Adherence to company quality policies.
    • Strong hand/eye coordination.
    • Detail-oriented and reliable.

    Preferred

    • Completion of an Advanced Machine Technology Course.
    • Experience with CNC Lathe operation.
    • Familiarity with 5S/6S principles.
    • Ownership mentality.
    • Excellent communication skills and a team player.
    • Enthusiastic about challenges in metal additive manufacturing and a fast-paced startup setting.
    • Self-motivated, practical, and goal-oriented.

    Physical Requirements

    • Extended periods of standing or sitting and performing repetitive tasks.
    • Capability to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
    • Manual dexterity for product assembly.
    • Strict adherence to safety protocols.
